Summer Reading Challenge

The Reading Agency and libraries are excited to introduce Space Chase, Summer Reading Challenge 2019; an out-of-this-world adventure inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

This summer children will help our super space family track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens! As they read library books, they will solve clues and collect special stickers to complete their missions folder. Can they find the aliens in time to save the day?

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. You can sign up at your local library, then read at least six books of your choice to collect special stickers and other rewards along the way – all for FREE. There’s a website to add to the fun too.

The Space Chase, Summer Reading Challenge 2019 started on Saturday 13 July and ends in the first week of September.

If you join in with the Reading Challenge, please share your booklets with us in September so we can celebrate reading in our Friday Assembly.
