Celebration Assembly

What a busy assembly! It was lovely to here about the many children, who have been demonstrating our Values this week, as well as the various skills and talents the children are developing outside school. Children also received certificates for attendance today.

Thank you to everyone who entered our Easter competitions. The standards were very high and picking winners was not easy! All money raised for the Friends of Cannon Park goes directly back into the school. Thank you for your generosity.

The children enjoyed a fantastic Easter lunch today thanks to the hard work from the amazing kitchen staff.

Kenilworth Castle

Year 1 had an amazing time at Kenilworth Castle. The children loved learning about the castle’s history and exploring the grounds. Lots of fun was had by all!

Our Science Selfies

Congratulations to Luke, Chloe, Isaac and Jovan for winning our first science selfie competition. The children of Cannon Park became scientists and took part in exciting experiments at home, taking photographs of their endeavours.

Science Master Class

Reception had a lovely afternoon with Mingyang’s dad, who came into to share some exciting science with us. He showed us how to create a battery with lemons, and made an electric motor, using  wire, a magnet and a battery. The children were really impressed and enjoyed their visit.

Celebration Assembly

Well done to this week’s certificate winners. It was lovely to hear how many children are doing extra-curricular activities and showing our Cannon Park Values.

Bake Off Books

This week, our new books arrived for our library. We were only able to buy these books thanks to the money raised during the Great Bookish Bake Off on World Book Day. Thank you to everyone who made or bought cakes – the children will enjoy reading these books!

Herb Garden

Mrs Smith has been hard at work creating our very own herb garden with the help of two children. Let’s hope the sun continues to shine and they begin to grow.
