At Cannon Park, our Green Team aim to raise environmental awareness and improve the school environment. We meet every week with Mr Wilson to discuss our Eco Plan.
We work together to help the environment by making our school more eco-friendly. We work on four main elements: recycling, composting, lights and water.
Our recycling monitors check that each class is using their paper recycling box appropriately. It’s the composting monitors’ job to collect the compost from the smaller bins and deposit it into the main compost bin. Our light monitors check that lights around the school are switched off when rooms are not in use, and our water monitors make sure all taps are switched off. All of our jobs help to make our school more environmentally friendly.
During Autumn, we are working on posters to stick around school to help our fellow students understand why our jobs are important.
