At Cannon Park, we are very proud of our School Council, who take their roles and responsibilities seriously. These pupils bring queries, suggestions or important information to the weekly meetings so that decisions can be made.
The School Council gives all children a meaningful voice. Children from Years 5 and 6 are democratically elected for the role. Two councillors become the ‘voice’ for their year group, representing their class at school council meetings to talk over important whole-school issues.
Autumn 2018 Update:
The school council has already been busy this term discussing value vouchers and the reward system, and have been encouraging the pupils to use their voices positively. We have lots planned for the rest of this year including: Children in Need, Anti bullying week, Citizenship day and Superhero day (Free radio).
